This was strictly a travel day for the four of us. Evie, our guide, had arranged a van to pick us up at the hotel at about 6:30 a.m. At the appointed time the van arrived and Evie joined us for the trip to the airport. Our flight from Cusco to Lima departed at 8:55 a.m. and arrived Lima at 10:20 a.m. Evie accompanied us to the check in and continued with us to where we had to pass through the security check. Once on board the one hour, twenty-five minute flight was soon over and we were in Lima, Peru. Our next flight departed from Lima at 12:10 p.m. and arrived in Foz do Iguacu, Brazil at 6:05 p.m. With the time zone changes, the flight was 3 hours 55 minutes before we landed in Brazil.
Once we had gathered our luggage we soon located our guide, Carlitos, from Iguassu Globo Tours. With all the luggage loaded Carlitos drove us to the Slaviero Suites, our hotel for this portion of the trip. With the decision made of what time Carlitos was to pick us up the following morning, we told him good night and got settled in the hotel. Prior to dinner we walked the neighborhood looking for a suitable place to eat, but weren't impressed with what we found. So, we returned to the hotel and ate in the restaurant there. It was a long day and settling in for the night was not at all difficult.
