SUNDAY, MAY 3, 2015 - FOZ DO IGUAZU, BRAZIL - RAIN STORM

At about 5:30 a.m. this morning we were awakened by a loud thunderstorm in the area.  There was lots of lightening and continuous thunder with sheets of rain.  It continued into our appointed meeting time.  Carlitos called and suggested that we move our planned Sunday activities to Monday.  We all agreed and tried to go back to bed.  It was frightening; our rooms were on the eleventh floor of this high rise hotel.  Eventually, we made our way to the hotel restaurant for breakfast and then returned to our rooms for most of the day.  Tommy and I napped.  Sylvia & Virginia read books.  At lunch time we all went downstairs to the hotel bar where we each had a hamburger and a brownie.  And, the rain continued.  By dinner time it was still raining so, again we ate in the hotel restaurant.  Overnight, the rain stopped and the next day the weather was perfect.
