FRIDAY, NOVEMBER 2, 2012 - NAPLES, ITALY - For our second day in Naples (which actually was more like an extended half day with a sailing time of 3:45 p.m.) I had arranged with a local tour company a half-day excursion for a group of 7 of us from the ship to the beautiful Amalfi coastline city of Positano, Italy. The plan was for us to return to the ship no later than 1:30 p.m. Everything took place as planned and we were soon making the scenic drive along the coastline. For me the attraction of visiting Positano was the incredible views. The pictures below highlight those views.
We have only visited one other place in Europe that I think compares to this and that is the Duro River Valley in Portugal.
We returned to the ship on time for the sail away toward the port of Civitavecchia, the port for Rome, Italy.
